The word is getting out! Privacy matters to the GTA public and TREB.

What a great start to this awareness campaign! I knew when we launched we’d make a splash, but I never imagined that we’d have such overwhelming support from the GTA public and TREB REALTOR® Members.

It’s been two weeks now since we launched, and I’m very happy with the reception. We’ve received coverage in major national newspapers, have been broadcast on major Toronto television and radio news programs, and many more online news sources. And we’re not done yet! We’re still reaching out to GTA media and expect our message to continue to spread.

We also launched this website to offer information and tools to spread our message. Every day we receive more visits. Since TREB launched, we’ve had over 3,800 visits. I’m sure that number’s going to continue growing.

One thing is clear: privacy matters. It matters to me; it matters to the GTA public and it matters to TREB REALTOR® Members. That’s exactly what our Angus Reid poll told us, that the vast majority of Ontarians clearly expressed their opposition to abandoning the safeguards of the current MLS® system, and the support we’ve received proves that.

We need to keep up the momentum! Visit the Take Action page to spread our message that privacy matters.

If Commissioner Aitken gets her way, Ontarians won’t. Privacy matters. That’s why TREB is standing up for GTA consumers. Click here to learn how you can take action to protect privacy!
